Treating Your Smile With Advanced Technology

We strive to help residents of Greenville, TX, and surrounding communities enjoy healthy smiles. We even take steps to ensure their newly repaired teeth look natural, with restorations that blend with the smile and last for many years to come. To help diagnose and treat smiles of all ages, out team employs advanced technology, such as digital x-rays and even CEREC single-visit restorations.

Diagnosing Your Smile

In order to obtain an accurate diagnosis, we need to see what’s happening beneath the gums, examining your jaw joints, tooth roots, and oral structures. To do so, we may use digital x-rays, which use around 90% less radiation than traditional options. In addition, the images are available instantly chairside, which means we can walk you through the diagnostic process and discuss your oral health. The images don’t need to be developed in harsh chemicals, and we can also easily send them to specialists if necessary.

Along with a visual scan, we may also gather detailed digital images using an intraoral camera. The camera will sit at the end of a wand, and allow us to take a number of pictures quickly and easily, with little discomfort. We can then identify common oral health issues in the earliest stages, often before you experience the warning signs. For example, we may look for oral cancer, tooth decay, gingivitis, and gum disease. We also have a special system that can identify tooth decay in particular in the very early stages. The DIAGNOdent® system allows us to spot cavities and offer treatment before an infection arises to help you avoid the need for more extensive treatment, such as a root canal.

Creating Restorations and Aligners

At one time, creating and placing a crown meant between two and three visits to the office, and a period of wearing a temporary. However, we can now employ CAD/CAM technology to gather a series of detailed images of the smile, combining them to create a 3D model and design a crown, veneer, inlay, or onlay. A special milling machine then creates these restorations onsite and allows us to place them in the same sitting, so you leave with the entire process completed. Using lifelike ceramic, your restoration will also blend seamlessly with your smile.

Ensuing a Comfortable Visit

As part of the anesthetic process, we will administer a numbing agent with the DentalVibe® system, which uses gentle vibrations to limit the discomfort of receiving an anesthetic injection.
